The Rural Fire Brigades Association of Queensland Inc. represents the interests of 34,000 volunteer bush firefighters in Queensland who dedicate their time to protecting the lives, property and the environment of our state.

These volunteers manage fire on 93% of the land area of Queensland, spread over some 1600 brigades and 2400 fire warden districts. They are largely funded by community fundraising, and local government levies, plus a contribution by the state government through the Rural Fire Service.

The RFBAQ has run a statewide raffle with significant prizes for many years, and from the proceeds, has funded improvements for a large number of Brigades, many of which find local fundraising very difficult.
