30 October 2005 1226 hours. Two crews responded to a grass fire at Panorama Point. The fire was on two flanks between the lookout and the Wongawallan track. The eastern flank was suppressed with multiple lengths of hose uphill from the lower track, and the western flank was controlled by backburning off a wetline between the upper track and an existing burnt area. Mopping up included removing some burning trees from the perimeter and securing the blacklines. Crews were treated to a barbecue put on by the SES on returning to the station. Standdown 1710 hours.
